A very neat thing that NetBSD has is its collection of software called pkgsrc. Every BSD has their own version of pkgsrc (FreeBSD's ports, for example), but the bright fellows at NetBSD have ported pkgsrc to other platforms (Linux, Solaris, and MacOSX). This means that a NetBSD user can install software on a Linux box the same way he installs stuff on his NetBSD box. Portability is a very good thing. Kudos to the guys that did this :-) -JoeyKelly
